At the location in Düsseldorf we are looking for a

Technology consultant (m/f/d) – European Innovation Policy Support in Photonics and Quantum Technologies

Your challenges:

  • coordinate European innovation support projects in photonics and quantum technologies
  • support C-level management boards of the EU initiatives "Photonics21" and "European Quantum Flagship"
  • prepare and implement open and transparent community strategy and road mapping processes
  • foster „community building" between industry and academic stakeholders
  • analyze and evaluate new trends in research and development (policies) and their application perspectives
  • Communicate about the impact of photonics and quantum technologies to policymakers, industry and the general public

Our expectations:

  • completed university studies, preferably in physics or engineering, other fields possible
  • strategic thinker with self-motivation to develop new ideas and to think outside the box
  • ideally, experience in the EU Framework Programme proposal and project management
  • a real team-player and a strong communicator who enjoys working in a European environment
  • strong presentation skills, the ability to present complex issues in a concise and understandable manner
  • excellent command of English and German
  • willingness to travel regularly within Europe
